Combined-cycle power plant smokestacks at sunset

Steam leaks. Failed traps. Wasted energy. We find it.

Reliability consulting for industrial facilities and power plants. Operator-led. No equipment to sell.

From the Operator's Side of the Desk

Before founding Word Reliability, I spent years operating industrial facilities and power generation plants. I watched failed steam traps quietly cost six figures a year. I watched compressed air leaks add up to one of the largest line items in the utility budget. I watched insulation deficiencies on bare valves and flanges bleed heat 24 hours a day.

The losses weren't hidden because they were hard to find. They were hidden because no one was looking.

Word Reliability exists to do the looking and to bring the operator's perspective to facilities that have only ever heard from analysts and salespeople.

Featured Service

Steam and utility systems are where most facilities lose the most money and where most consultants barely look. It's where we lead.

Steam & Utility System Optimization

Steam distribution piping and utility system

Comprehensive surveys of steam traps, compressed air, insulation, pressure-reducing stations, and condensate return using ultrasonic and thermal instrumentation to find the losses your facility doesn't know about. Every finding quantified in annual dollars and ranked by payback. Most engagements pay for themselves in 60 to 90 days.

Other Services

Energy Efficiency Audits

A technician in a hard hat and safety glasses uses a thermal imaging device to inspect equipment in an industrial setting, holding a tablet with charts and data.

Three-phase power logging and load profile analysis on the equipment that actually drives your bill.

Vibration Analysis & Predictive Maintenance

A man wearing safety goggles, a white hard hat, and a light blue shirt with the words 'Word Reliability' and a gear logo embroidered on it, is working with industrial machinery in a factory or plant setting.

Route-based screening to catch bearing faults, misalignment, and lubrication issues before they cause unplanned downtime.

Borescoping

A man wearing a green sweater uses a handheld diagnostic device to inspect an aircraft engine.

Internal inspection of boilers, heat exchangers, and turbines without disassembly.

About Word Reliability

Built by an operator. Delivered to operators.

A man with a beard wearing a dark gray shirt with a logo that reads "WORD RELIABILITY" and features a gear shield, standing inside an industrial facility with machinery in the background.

Word Reliability exists because of a frustration I had as a facility manager.

For years, I sat across from consultants who handed me audit reports full of recommendations that would never survive contact with reality, written by people who'd never had to run a plant short-staffed on a Saturday night. Reports that read well in a binder and got shelved within a week.

I started Word Reliability to do this work differently. Every recommendation I make is filtered through a simple test: would I have implemented this when I was running the plant? What's left is what's actually worth doing.
